DPR selected Harold Brothers to perform Plumbing and Mechanical scopes on an early procurement model based on schematic documents to enable the team to deliver on a fast-track schedule with cost-certainty for the client by engaging all team members collaboratively toward the achievement of the client’s vision. Despite changes to the scope, the project was completed on schedule, and the overall project cost was continually driven down through transparency of information between DPR and our key trade partners.

On this project, I worked closely with the field and office personnel, who led the Plumbing/HVAC trades efficiently. The office and field team worked openly with the DPR team to identify project risks, opportunities, and challenge mitigation strategies. The mechanics onsite worked safely and produced quality work with minimal punchlist items. The HBMI team collaborated with the electrical, fire protection, and drywall vendors to ensure the success of all trade partners. The team exemplified perseverance in the face of obstacles and always found a path to ensure the end result was a success.

The success of this project led directly to DPR recommending HBMI and Hanlon for an even more aggressive project for a life science pharmaceutical client in Norwood, which I’m pleased to report was also a great success. I look forward to our next opportunity to partner with HBMI."

"I would like to express my gratitude to Harold Brothers Mechanical Contractors, Inc. (Harold Brothers) and specifically to Rick Loud for the successful completion of the Mechanical and HVAC scope of work at the Arranta Bio Pharmaceutical Support Office Facilities project.

Everything, except existing structural columns, beams, joists, and concrete slab, was demolished for this one-story 5,210 SF modern office facility built to support the development and manufacturing of therapies targeting the human microbiome.

An extremely tight project schedule dictated early materials ordering and continuous tracking from their release to the job site. To fit MEPFP systems between existing structural columns, beams, and joists, a Three-Dimensional (3D) Computer-Aided Design (CAD) model for Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) was utilized. Space restrictions also required “right-in-time” deliveries, detailed work sequencing, and coordination among nearly three dozen subcontractors.

Despite these challenges, Harold Brothers demonstrated full compliance with health and safety policies and regulations while performing their work.
